Ashes and Urns - What to do with cremation ashes

When thinking about cremation ashes and urns to put them in, there are more options than you might think.
When someone you love passes away, the process of saying goodbye can be difficult and overwhelming. One of the decisions you will have to make is what to do with the ashes. If you have chosen cremation, you have a variety of options for the final resting place of the ashes. Here are some of the options you can consider for a cremation ashes urn:

Traditional Urn: This is the most common type of urn and comes in a variety of sizes, materials, and styles. Urns can be made of wood, marble, metal, or ceramic, and can be found in a range of colours and designs to match your loved one's personality.  More modern options such as our football cremation urns can really represent life's passions.

Biodegradable Urn: If you prefer a more environmentally friendly option, you can choose a biodegradable urn that is made from natural materials like bamboo, paper, or salt. These urns break down over time and return the ashes to the earth.

Scattering Urn: If you would like to scatter your loved one's ashes in a special place, you can use a scattering urn. These urns have a screw-on lid and a built-in spreading mechanism that makes it easy to scatter the ashes in a controlled manner.

Keepsake Urn: If you would like to keep a small portion of the ashes with you, a keepsake urn may be the right choice. These miniature urns come in a range of sizes and styles, and can be kept in your home or worn as jewellery.

Memorial Jewellery: Another option for keeping a small portion of the ashes close is to have them made into memorial jewellery. You can choose from necklaces, bracelets, and pendants that have a small compartment to hold the ashes.

Memorial Art: If you want to create a lasting tribute to your loved one, you can have the ashes turned into a work of art. There are artists who specialise in making unique pieces, such as glass sculptures or paintings, that incorporate the ashes.

No matter what you choose, it's important to select a cremation ashes urn that honours the memory of your loved one and provides a fitting final resting place for their ashes. The most important thing with ashes and urns is to choose something that reflects your loved one's personality and gives you peace of mind and hopefully can bring a smile to your face when you remember them fondly.
